Fingercheck's biometric clocks are often purchased as add-on clocks by businesses who have purchased our clocks in the past. The reason is typical, their business is growing or they are establishing multiple locations. When this is done, the new clocks come in with no record or knowledge of what's present on the existing clocks.
Syncing existing fingerprints with a new clock is a simple process within Fingercheck. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to sync fingerprints from an existing clock over to a new one:
Log onto your FingerCheck account and go to the "Employee" tab on the left sidebar. Check the boxes to the left of each employee's record you want to sync over, or, check the topmost box in that column to select all employees visible on your page. Next, click on the "Quick Actions" button (the one that looks like 3 horizontal bars) and select "Download Fingerprints."
A pop-up window will appear. Check the box of the clock(s) you would like to download the fingerprints from, then, click the green "Download" button.
Another pop-up message will ask you to confirm the process. Click on "OK."
Once the process is over, you'll get redirected to the page where you started. Note that the employees are still selected. Go to "Quick Actions" again and click on "Send Employees to Clock." This sends all employee names and numbers over to the clock.
A pop-up window will appear. Check the box of the clock(s) you would like to send the information to, then, click the green "Send" button.
Once again a pop-up message will ask you to confirm the process. Click on "OK."
Again, you will be brought back to the Employees List. Now, back to the "Quick Actions" menu, and this time click on "Send Fingerprints to Clock."
Finally, check the box of the clock(s) you would like to send the fingerprints to, then, click the green "Send" button.
Click on "OK" to the pop-up message asking you for confirmation.
Now your employees have been synced to the clock of your choice! You can sync as many clocks as you need by carrying out this routine over and over again.
