Workers' compensation is a crucial aspect of any business that aims to protect its employees in case of work-related injuries or illnesses. Adding workers' comp codes ensures that your business accurately reports and manages workplace incidents. This guide will walk you through the process of adding workers' comp codes effectively.


Add a Workers Comp Code

  1. Log in to your Fingercheck account as an Administrator.

  2. In the left hand menu, select SETUP > Payroll > Workers Comp Codes.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Enter the worker's comp code details:

    1. Code: enter the worker's comp code.

    2. Description: enter the department or employees covered.

    3. Rate: enter the assigned worker's comp code rate.

    4. Withholding Rate: enter the employee’s rate for Washington L&I premiums.

    5. Class Code: enter the workers comp class code.

    6. Work Location: Select a work location. (optional)

  5. Click Save.
