The Monthly View allows you to make it easier to plan ahead, spot coverage gaps, and track total labor at a glance.

  • Daily shift totals – Quickly see how many shifts are scheduled each day.

  • Total hours per day – Monitor workload and staffing levels at a glance.

  • Shift status indicators – View open, unpublished, and warning shifts directly on the calendar.

Main Features

1. Full month overview

View your team’s entire schedule for the month on a single screen. This view displays:

  • Total scheduled hours per day

  • Shift count per day

  • Shift status indicators for open, unpublished, and warning shifts

2. Warning indicators and totals

Daily warnings now appear in the Monthly View, just like in the Weekly View.

  • This helps you quickly identify and address issues, such as overlapping or missing shifts.

Monthly totals are displayed on the upper left side of the calendar.

  • Total hours for the whole month

  • Total published shifts for the whole month

  • Totals for published, unpublished shifts, and conflicts for the month

  • Total absences for the month (approved/requested)

3. Absence display

Approved and requested time off are visible directly in the calendar, making it easier to spot scheduling conflicts.

You’ll get visibility into scheduled absences with an umbrella icon, including:

  • Approved time off

  • Requested time off

    • Use this view to check for conflicts or staffing shortages before they happen.

You can see a detailed view of the absences by clicking on the day to open up the daily details.

4. Filters and Settings

Use the left side filters by department, job, or individual employee to tailor your view. Filters applied in the Monthly View also carry over to the daily extended views (see below) for a consistent experience.

Use filters to refine your view by:

  • Department

  • Job

  • Specific employees

  • Absences

  • Open shifts

Filters applied here carry over to the Daily and Extended views, helping you stay focused on the teams or roles that matter most.

5. Editing and interaction

  • Click on any date to see shift details, which vary depending on the view by filtering.

    • Displays all shifts for that day.

    • Displays all employees scheduled for that day

    • Shows total hours

6. Navigation tools

Jump to the current month, or scroll back and forth to plan ahead or review past coverage. With this top-down calendar format, it’s easier to identify trends and plan proactively.

7. Shift Status and Confirmation

Indicators for missed punches, shift confirmation, and shift task statuses are visible in shift details.
