From the Schedule tab, you can generate, copy, and add shifts for your employees. You can also copy those shifts to another schedule.

To learn how to create shifts, click here.

Copy shifts to a new schedule

  1. Sign in to Fingercheck as an Administrator or Supervisor (with scheduling permissions).

  2. Click the SCHEDULE tab.

  3. Go to the weekly schedule and/or shifts that you want to copy.

  4. Click the Quick Actions, or hamburger icon.

  5. In the dropdown, select Copy Shifts.

7. Then a schedule calendar will appear allowing you to copy the daily shift schedules from one week to another.

8. Then choose the dates you want to copy over to

  • Just click on the dates and the selected days will turn green

9. Click Next when you have selected the dates

  • To select a whole week, just click on the week #, and the whole week will be selected and highlighted in green.

10. The next window that pops up is the employee selector

11. All of your employees will be default selected, shown by the checkmark next to their name.

12. Make your desired selections by unchecking their name

  • You will see the selected employees in the right column

13. Click Next when you have selected the desired employees to copy the shifts

14. The next pop-up window will confirm and ask if you want to Override Values or change the original schedule

  • The copy schedule feature provides an easy method to generate shifts with the same schedule setup. Check the override values checkbox if you would like to change fields from the original schedule.

15. Click Copy schedule button.

16. You get a confirmation pop-up and click OK.

17. Then you are returned to the schedule calendar to view the copied shifts for the dates you selected.

That's it! You copied the selected employees' daily schedules to another daily or weekly schedule.
