Instead of manually updating data in Fingercheck, you can import employee, PTO, schedule, rate, and payroll information by mapping data in a CSV file with fields in Fingercheck.

In this article, you will learn:

How to prepare your CSV file

In Fingercheck, you can import data for:

  • Employee information (such as phone numbers and email addresses)

  • PTO accrual information

  • Schedule information

  • Employee rate information

  • Payroll data

Create a comma-separated values (CSV) file that lists the data you want to import. Each column should have a heading that will map to a field in Fingercheck. The data to include in this file depends on what type of import you want to do.

For example, if you select EmployeeRateInformation when creating a data exchange mapping (step 5 in How to map the data to import below), you can map to the fields shown in the drop-down list below (step 10 in How to map the data to import below).

A CSV file for this mapping might look something like this:

The column headings do not have to match, but make sure you know how they should map to the related Fingercheck fields.
