The CLIENTS tab on the Accountant Portal lists your clients who use Fingercheck. Each client has a set of icons that allows you to view and download the client’s data.

How to generate reports

  1. Log in to the Fingercheck Accountant Portal.

  2. Click the CLIENTS tab.

  3. Click the Reports icon for the client.

    The Reports screen appears.

    Many categories of reports are available: Company, Employee, Time Card, and several more. Each category includes two tabs:

    • System: Contains reports that come with Fingercheck by default.

    • Custom: Contains reports that the client’s Fingercheck administrator created.

  4. Click a category to view the reports.

  5. Find the report you want to run, and click its Run Report link.

    A panel similar to the one below appears so that you can configure the report.

  6. Select the Payroll dates or a date range.

  7. If the report relates to employees, adjust the Selected Employees list as needed.

    To remove employees from the Selected Employees list, clear the checkboxes in the Available Employees list.

    For more advanced filtering, click the Advanced Selection button. A window like the one below appears. Select the options you want, and click OK.

  8. To see a preview of the report, click Preview.

  9. To run the report, click Run.

    The file is downloaded to your computer.

How to download the general ledger

  1. Log in to the Fingercheck Accountant Portal.

  2. Click the CLIENTS tab.

  3. Click the General Ledger icon for the client.

  4. In the pop-up window that appears, select the Payroll and the Ledger Type.

  5. Click Export.

    The file is downloaded to your computer.

How to download tax forms

  1. Log in to the Fingercheck Accountant Portal.

  2. Click the CLIENTS tab.

  3. Click the Tax Forms icon for the client.

  4. Select the tax forms you want to download.

  5. Click the Download Selected button in the top right.
