How to Assign Tax Work Locations for Multiple Employees

You can update and add multiple employees' tax work locations at once directly from your Employee dashboard.

After you add all of your tax work locations (TWL) in SETUP, you need to assign them to each employee's profile to calculate taxes correctly. Assigning a TWL to many employees at once with a Mass Change is simple. Before you can do a mass TWL addition, you must have at least one TWL setup. To learn how to add TWLs, click here.


Assign a new tax work location for multiple employees

  1. Sign in to your Fingercheck account as an Administrator.

  2. Navigate to the Employees tab

  3. Select the employees you want to add or change the TWL

    1. This method only works for more than one employee.

      1. To add a TWL for only one employee, click here.

  4. Select Mass Change from the hamburger menu (quick actions)

  5. Select TaxLocation from the dropdown

6. Then a pop-up will appear to advise to ‘Auto-load taxes’ after changing the TWL

7. Click OK

8. Choose the new TWL to add to the employees’ profiles

9. A confirmation pop-up will appear, and you can confirm by clicking Continue.

Auto-load taxes for multiple employees

It is best to auto-load the tax codes after changing the TWL for the chosen employees so that their taxes stay correct.

  1. Sign in to your Fingercheck account as an Administrator.

  2. Select the employees who had their TWL added or changed

  3. Select Auto Load Taxes from the hamburger menu (quick actions)

4. Then a pop-up will appear to advise to ‘Update taxes’

5. Click OK

6. Lastly, you will get a confirmation pop-up informing you if there are any errors.
