How to Create, Edit, and Manage Job Openings

With the Careers Website in Hiring, you can create, post, share, and manage job openings with ease.

Create a job opening

  1. Log in to Fingercheck as an Administrator.

  2. Hover over HIRING and select Job Openings.

  3. On the Job Openings page that appears, click Add Job Opening in the top-right corner.

  4. In the form that appears, complete the fields according to the job's specifications.

  5. In the Job Questions section, select or clear the SHOW and REQ (Required) checkboxes per your needs.
    If you select the SHOW checkbox, the field will appear on the application. If you select the REQ checkbox, the applicant must complete the field before applying.
    To do a background check, you must select the REQ checkbox for Address.

  6. You can add a custom field (question) for your applicants.

    1. You must first set up the questions in Setup > HR > Custom fields. Learn how here.

  7. Click Save.

The following states and localities have, or are set to have, a salary transparency law. Each law varies in its requirements and covers employers.

The number of states to implement a salary transparency law may grow in the future, as similar bills are under consideration in states like Massachusetts and South Carolina.


Edit, delete, and post job openings

  1. On the Job Openings page, click the hamburger icon to open the Actions menu for the job opening.

  2. To modify the job posting, select Edit from the Actions menu, make the changes, and click Save.

  3. To delete a job posting, open the Actions menu and select Delete.

  4. To make a copy of a job posting, open the Actions menu and select Clone.

  5. To email a job posting, open the Actions menu and select Email Job Link.
    A link to the job posting is copied to your clipboard so you can paste it into an email.

  6. To post the job posting on a job site such as LinkedIn, open the Actions (hamburger) menu and select one of the Post options.


Review job openings

You can see what your job opening looks like on our Careers Website.

  1. Hover over Hiring and select View Careers Website.

  2. On this site you see the list of job openings.

  3. Click on the job opening to view how it appears to prospective applicants.

  4. You can share the job posting via email or social media such as LinkedIn by clicking on the icon.
