Employees: How to Update Tax Withholdings

Employees can update their own tax exemptions.

You can update your tax exemptions on the web or mobile application. This article will guide you through updating your tax exemptions on the web and mobile application.


Update your tax withholding on the web application

  1. Log in to Fingercheck on app.fingercheck.com.

  2. Click MY ACCOUNT > Tax Withholding.

  3. Click the Edit icon (pencil) for the tax withholding you want to change.

  4. Make the necessary changes:

    1. Hover your mouse over the tool tip to find out more details about each section.

    2. For IRS changes, click the link at the top to view a current copy of the W4 Form.

  5. Enter your signature.

  6. Click Save.



Update your tax withholding on the mobile application

  1. Log in to the Fingercheck Mobile app as an employee.

  2. Tap the hamburger icon to open the menu.

  3. Tap your name so that you can access the PROFILE option.

  4. Tap PROFILE.

  5. Tap the Taxes Withholding option.

  6. Tap the Edit icon next to the type of withholding you want to change.
    In the example below, the icon for Federal Withholding is highlighted.

  7. Make the necessary changes and enter your signature.

  8. Tap the Checkmark icon in the top-right corner.

Please note if you need assistance with completing your W4 form or state withholding tax forms, please contact your accountant or CPA to discuss. Neither Fingercheck or your employer can provide guidance on how you should complete these forms.
