Our E-Verify feature eliminates the need for separate portals and duplicate data entry while providing full compliance support.
Why Use E-Verify Integration
Employers are under increasing pressure to ensure accurate work authorization verification. By integrating E-Verify into your I-9 workflow, Fingercheck helps you:
Reduce manual work & duplication: use the same data collected in I-9 to launch E-Verify cases
Improve accuracy: data consistency is enforced, formatting, and missing fields are flagged
Ensure compliance & audit readiness: full traceability, auto-recorded results, and safe harbor benefits
Support growth & high turnover: scale E-Verify case processing without overburdening HR
Streamline the Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC) process: guided resolution, letter generation, and step-by-step help
If your company is already using Fingercheck’s I-9 workflow, enabling E-Verify becomes a natural extension of your onboarding process.
How It Works
Fingercheck provides easy E-Verify with our trusted partner, Sapphire. Sapphire provides fast, compliant, and accurate screening services so you can hire with confidence and protect your business.
Here’s how Fingercheck + Sapphire automates E-Verify, compared to the manual approach:
Step | Manual Approach | With Fingercheck’s E-Verify Integration |
1 | Create an E-Verify company account on the official E-Verify website. | Not required - Our integration partner (Sapphire) will create the E-Verify account on your behalf and send you the required document to sign |
2 | Complete the I-9 in Fingercheck | Complete the I-9 in Fingercheck |
3 | Log in to the E-Verify portal & retype the I-9 data | Fingercheck automatically submits the E-Verify case using captured data |
4 | Monitor the E-Verify portal for status changes | Status returns automatically to Fingercheck |
5 | Manually record the result in external systems | Fingercheck updates the employee’s I-9 form with the result and case number |
6 | If TNC or error, research codes, generate letters, and manage responses manually | Fingercheck + Sapphire guide TNC resolution, generate DHS letters/forms, assist with next steps |
This integrated approach saves time, reduces errors, and shifts compliance burden from you to automation and expert support.
Enable E-Verify in Your Account
To begin using E-Verify, follow these steps:
Log in to Fingercheck as an Administrator / Compliance Officer.
Navigate to the Human Resources tab > E-Verify.
Click ‘Get started’ to complete a quick form with Sapphire.
Sapphire will contact you to finalize your setup.
Once setup is complete, Sapphire will notify us, and you'll be ready to request E-Verify cases and view reports directly from Fingercheck.
There is a $3 fee for each E-Verify case billed through Fingercheck.
Once E-Verify is enabled for your company, it will remain active for all future new hires. Therefore, no further manual steps.
Handling TNC / Final Nonconfirmation Responses
When a case returns a Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC) or Final Nonconfirmation, our integrated solution helps by:
Prompting guided next-steps to ensure correct process (e.g., “employee option to contest,” further documentation)
Generating the correct DHS letters and forms automatically
Helping track response deadlines and status updates
Allowing Sapphire / Fingercheck support to assist in the interpretation of government codes and escalation if needed
You’ll have less guesswork, fewer compliance risks, and better confidence in your resolution process.
