Fingercheck offers your employees a direct way to communicate with you via our general requests functionality. Employees can send requests, label them with request types, and once they're submitted, an email notification is sent to you and the request populates in your online dashboard and the "General Requests" tab of the mobile app. The only thing you need to do as a supervisor is to create request types your employees will be able to select from when sending their requests. Here's how:
Log onto your Fingercheck account, go to the “Setup tab and from the drop-down menu on the left, select “System Menu."
From the left sidebar, click on "Request Types" and then the yellow "Add" button.
Create a "Code" and "Description" for your request type. By "Exception Policy" it is perfectly acceptable to not select anything; however if you are creating a type that matches an exception, and you wish not to receive a punch alert if you approve their request, select the exception here and the system will know not to send you an alert. For instance, an employee working overtime might trigger an "Over Hours" exception, so you might want to select "Over Hours" to avoid receiving notifications. Then click "Save."
Now you should see the request type within the main "Request Types" window and employees will be able to select this request type when creating general requests.
