How to Lock and Unlock a User

Whether you want to lock out a terminated employee or unlock a hold blocking an employee from logging in, follow this quick step-by-step guide to learn how to lock and unlock a user: 
 
  • Log onto your FingerCheck account and go to the “Setup” tab. From the drop down menu on the top left of the page, select “Security Menu.”
  • ​From the list that appears, click on “Security Users” and then select the user whose account you would like to unlock.
  • Tick the box that says "Locked Out" to lock the user or untick the box to unlock the user. Then click "Save."

Now, whether you want to lock a user from logging in or unlock a user whose account has been locked (like if they've attempted to sign in using the wrong password one too many times) you can easily do so.
