How to Tell Whether Your Clock is Online

One of the benefits of having your time attendance data stored in the cloud is getting real time notifications and data. Here are two ways to tell if your clock is online and receiving an active connection:
  1. The simplest way to check whether your clock is online is to look at the display on the device. If your time clock is online and receiving an active connection from our servers, you should see a green “I” with a bounding box.
  2. You can also check whether your device is online by logging onto the website, going to the "Setup" tab and selecting "Clock Management" from the sidebar on the left of the page. This will pull up a list of all your devices and the last connection time of your clocks. If the time is in sync with your current time, your clock is connected.
In the case that your clock does go offline, rest assured knowing that your employees will still be able to punch in and out. The punches however, will only be uploaded to the software once a connection between the clock and our servers is re-established. As a preventive measure, you can enable a feature in our software that will send an automatic email notification to your email address if your clock is offline for more than an hour.
